School Crest:
  • A generous gift to the school from the Alumnae Association in 1993, our traditional crest features the gold doe that is a proud symbol of York House as a school for girls.
  • The York Rose signifies the founding Principal's, Lena Cotsworth Clarke, city of origin: York, England.
  • The school colours of green and gold are the background for the York Rose, which is set in a Canadian maple leaf.
  • The open book is the symbol of scholarship featuring our secondary motto, "Onward and Upward."
