Small classes, caring and passionate teachers, and unique learning opportunities.
York House offers a progressive and comprehensive academic program through Grades JK to 12.
We deliver a challenging curriculum that is learner-centred and flexible. While we emphasize foundational learning of literacy and numeracy, our programs focus on providing meaningful and authentic learning experiences that empower deeper learning through concept-based and competency driven approaches. Additionally, our curriculum framework aims to nurture and develop global competencies in our students from Junior Kindergarten all the way through to Grade 12.

Whether a Yorkie is learning to problem solve through play, or taking a university level Advanced Placement course, our students are encouraged to develop skills and attributes that will enable them to gain independence and a powerful sense of self and agency.

The personalized learning experiences provided at York House allow each student to discover their unique learning style and feel empowered to find their voice, discover their passions, and shape their world.

Technology tools are embedded across the school to authentically support student learning. Leveraging these tools allows our students to think critically about information and the world around them and to develop digital literacies that will serve them well into the future. Our One-to-One Technology Program from Grade 6 to Grade 10, allows students on-demand access to personal research and creative digital tools that help reinforce learning and understanding.

We have teachers who are passionate about teaching and their field of study, who consistently apply new learning methods in their classrooms, and are active in their community. Our rigorous and innovative programs enable our Yorkies to acquire the knowledge and build the character and competencies needed to become bold leaders and ethical global citizens.
