Celebrating Connections: Alum Events and News

Our dynamic alum community comes together throughout the year to celebrate achievements, forge connections, and honour our shared legacy as Yorkies through several key events.

Group of alums

Founders’ Day -

The first Founders’ Day was held in September 1932 and since then, every fall, Junior and Senior School students, staff, parents, and alums gather on campus on Founders’ Day to honour the seven visionary women who founded York House School in 1932. This event also marks the initial welcome of the current graduating class into the Alum Association and recognizes the outstanding achievements of both the graduating students and distinguished alums.

Alum Day -

On Alum Day, YHS alums return to school to celebrate their journey after graduation. The event typically features panel discussions, keynote presentations, breakout sessions, along with opportunities to connect and exchange experiences among alums with diverse professions and backgrounds. Classes celebrating special reunions are also invited back to celebrate on Alum Day and have a reunion lunch at the school.

Chapter Events -

York House spirit knows no boundaries! Our worldwide reunions bring together generations of Yorkies to strengthen lifelong friendships and forge new connections through the sharing of professional insights and mentorship opportunities.

Five Year Reunions

Every five years, classes are encouraged to organize their five year reunion through the help and support of their class representatives.
