YHS Legacy Society - Planned Giving
Leave a legacy of learning
When planning your future legacy and thinking about how you would like to be remembered, we hope you’ll consider leaving a gift to York House in your will. Planned gifts support our financial aid and scholarships program, giving you the opportunity to transform the lives of ambitious and talented students in keeping with our motto Not for Ourselves Alone.
Planned giving empowers Yorkies to discover their potential without financial barriers, and including York House in your existing will is a simple process. Contact a lawyer or notary to prepare a codicil, then connect with the York House Advancement Office to complete the YHS Legacy Society documents and our Gift for the Future form. We’re happy to include your name on the YHS Legacy supporter recognition list or honour your request for anonymity.
How to Plan Your Legacy Gift
We’re grateful for your interest in supporting York House. If you have questions related to legacy giving, please contact Ita Kane-Wilson, Associate Director, Alum Relations at 604-730-2409. To begin the process of a planned gift, we invite you to fill out our Gift for the Future form or make a donation online.
The York House School Legacy Society
In 1999, a cup of tea and conversation between alums marked the beginning of the YHS Legacy Society. Today, it’s a generous collective of more than 130 members who have established planned gifts to secure a better, bolder future for Yorkies.
“Thank you to the YHS Foundation—I will be eternally grateful for the amazing opportunities afforded to me by York House, both during my five years there and beyond."
