Graduation Events Outside of School
We know that each year, grad parents often hold events at their homes or sponsor special events in celebration of graduates. This has always been a hallmark of end-of-year graduation celebrations. In light of the Provincial Restrictions on gatherings, we wish to strongly reiterate the importance of our collective responsibility in ensuring that we follow these rules.
We want to put all chances on our side that there are no outside-of-school graduation events/gatherings (either indoor or outdoor) that might result in exposure events for our grads. This could potentially impact their health, their ability to attend school, to complete their courses and exams, be part of the convocation ceremony and participate in the activities we hope to be able to offer in celebration of them. We know some of you have already considered special events you will hold for the grads once these restrictions are lifted and it is safe to do so. Thank you all in advance for your understanding and support as we navigate these last few weeks together.
