That's Spark

At the heart of our mission is Spark — our strategic plan designed to guide York House School’s growth, innovation, and student experience for years to come. Spark reflects our commitment to elevating learning, celebrating individuality, and preparing students for a dynamic future.

Through “That’s Spark,” we will regularly share examples of how the goals outlined in the plan are already coming to life across the school. Each update will highlight one of the strategic goals, the direction it sets, and a real example of the impact it is having on students today.

This week's highlight:

The creation of the new Junior School Innovation Lab gives students a deeper understanding of STEAM. In April, our Grade 6-8 students participated in Future Design School’s Future Prize event, with the Grade 7 team placing first. The change in the classroom environment’s physical construct directly correlates with learning outcomes.
