School Closure on Monday, September 19
Dear York House Community,
Yesterday, the Province of B.C. announced it will be following the lead of the Federal Government and observing the national day of mourning to commemorate the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Along with our neighbouring schools, York House will be closed on Monday, September 19 to observe this day of mourning.
As we mark the passing of Queen Elizabeth, we reflect on her 70 years of service as Queen of the United Kingdom and Canada's head of state. Her devotion to duty and public service are expressed powerfully through our own school motto, "Not for Ourselves Alone," and we appreciate your understanding as we observe this day of mourning.
