The Alum Association is excited to welcome back our alum basketball players for a game of basketball with students and staff members.

Hosted by Lisa (Tindle) Conroy ’05, this event celebrates the tradition of York House basketball and the many outstanding alums who have contributed to its legacy. Over the years, York House teams have captured multiple AA Provincial Championships, earned BC MVP honours, and produced athletes recognized among the best in the province. We are thrilled to welcome players from across the decades for an afternoon of fun, basketball, and YHS spirit!

  • Intentions: The Space Between Wanting and Becoming

Every decision we make tells a story—not just of what we want, but who we are. In this session, Amel Misbah invites us to pause and explore the invisible threads behind our choices: the intentions we carry, the identities we protect, and the values we live by—consciously or not.

If every decision was a mirror, what does it reflect inside you?  What if the real question isn’t What should I do? But Who am I becoming as I do it?

Through personal reflection, powerful inquiry, and moments of quiet insight, this talk guides us through the deeper landscape of decision-making. It's not about choosing perfectly—it's about choosing with intention. Because when we align our actions with our values and identity, our lives begin to feel more like our own.
