Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony

New time for Live Stream: we will be moving the time for the live stream for the graduation ceremony to 10:30 am to allow more time for families who are dropping off their daughters. We will not be adjusting the arrival and departure times. Please note that the live stream will be recorded and shared with our community afterwards.
This year, our graduating class will be able to come together in the theatre for our graduation ceremony. As we are unable to have parents on site for this event, we will live-stream the ceremony to you.

Here is the link to the live stream: https://youtu.be/3xLvQMplFLM

We will begin the broadcast at 10:30 am and expect to end at approximately 1:00 pm. Following the ceremony, there will be additional photos and an opportunity for the grads to see staff and teachers.

If you are having any issues accessing the live stream link on graduation day please contact our Tech team right away at: [email protected] or 604-730-3333.

Technical glitches can occur and if such were the case, we would let all families know via the live stream feed, address the tech issues, pause the graduation event so that all families get to see their daughter cross the stage. I am confident that all will run smoothly. We have an amazing technical support group.

Program for the Ceremony:
This program outlines the presentation of the graduation ceremonies as well as speeches throughout the ceremony.

Arrival Times for Grads:
We will ask the students to arrive via the front entrance of the school, in their cap and gown, ready to go starting at 9:40 am. Here is the list of students which includes the time they need to arrive at the school. It is vitally important that the grads arrive on time. This is a live-streamed event and the coordination of the event requires everyone to do their best to be on time.

Following the ceremony, the grads will file out and gather on the athletics field for the traditional hat toss photo. They will also have an opportunity to gather with their TAG teachers one last time.

Caps & Gowns:
Grads get to keep the caps. They must return the gown but we have made arrangements for them to keep their gowns for family photos over the weekend. Please return the gown to Daphne Ho (Communications Office in the Science Wing) on Monday, June 14. If students do not wish to keep the gown over the weekend, we will have bins onsite for them to return the gown (Grads - please make sure when you return your gown that you check your name off on the list so that we can track who has returned their gown and who has not).

Graduation Photos:
Artona will be onsite taking photos on the stage as well at another station on the school grounds. Links will be shared with families in the coming weeks.

Pick-Up Location and Times:
If your parents are picking you up, it would be greatly appreciated if they could do so according to the following times listed here as this will help us to avoid traffic congestion in the neighbourhood. Also, in line with Provincial Health Restrictions, we kindly ask that you minimize families gathering outside.
