York House School is opening the door to a world of possibility - for our school, our students, and our community.
We are at the beginning of a process to re-imagine our future, move with the times and even, reach ahead of the curve. A new vision, a new strategy and clearly articulated priorities will ensure a stronger school and a powerful educational experience for our students, one that is relevant for a world where change is the only constant.

Message from the Head of School & Board Chair

It is an exciting time to be a part of the York House School community. We are well positioned to  develop a new strategic plan that will take us into the next decade to meet the world’s newest challenges and opportunities.
With guidance from our Board of Governors, its Strategic Planning Committee and the Leadership Team, we are reaching out to draw upon the expertise of a broad range of educators, thought leaders, and professionals. Consultants Berlineaton and Sharon Gregg are assisting us with facilitation, data, analysis and strategy.
The Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) assessment team were on-site May 7-10, 2023, and will provide a report ready by January 2024. This is an important part of our ongoing goal of school improvement and pursuit of best practice standards. Its timing also provides a vital opportunity during our research phase for the strategic plan.

The exploration has begun and the momentum is already tangible.

By early 2024, we will have established a vision and concrete plan to take York House School into a future defined by change. Not only will we continue delivering a comprehensive and rigorous academic program, but we will also determine and prioritize the skills our students will need to flourish in a world we can’t predict. 

How do we inspire their minds and hearts? How do we give them a top-tier academic experience that also teaches life skills, fosters confidence, and instills the passion to improve a society in need of their contribution?

York House has developed a powerful and highly respected educational program. Now is the time to look into the future and imagine what we can build from that foundation.
