70 students, 4 sold-out shows, and 1 amazing experience called “Mamma Mia!”

York Rose Players presented the musical Mamma Mia! on March 7 - 9, 2024. Led by YHS Drama teacher Ms. Louis, this musical theatre performance was a major undertaking that gathered an incredible team of cast, crew, band, and volunteers. 

Thank you to Ms. Louis, Mr. Chyzuk, Mr. Lit, Ms. Mallette, and Ms. Mirtic for their guidance and support. We are also grateful for the expertise of our vocal coaches Lia and Sandra, our incredibly creative choreographer Erika Babins, combined with the amazing talent of our students, made it all the more achievable and such a fun musical to be a part of. 

“I am so humbled by the camaraderie displayed by cast, crew and band throughout the entire process, and so proud of the support they gave each other from beginning to end…This is the power of theatre - it breaks down barriers and brings people together, through thick and thin, regardless of age/gender/background/experience,” says Ms. Louis.
